Amy England, MA, CCC-SLP
Amy is a speech-language pathologist with 27 years of experience working with all kinds of special people. She loves facilitating functional communication, use of augmentative communication resources, oral and written language skills, literacy development, feeding and swallowing skills, social language as well as intelligibility. She strives to bring her best to every therapy session with unique approaches, flexible locales, fun and engaging materials, and research based interventions. Amy graduated from Louisiana Tech University with her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech-Language Pathology. She has accumulated over 500 hours of continuing education because she believes in offering only the most recent and proven strategies for each of her clients. Amy has worked in long-term acute care, the public school system, private clinics, home health, and a pediatric day health care center. Client centered therapy is her passion as she looks forward to meeting each of her clients’ and families’ needs in the most efficient manner available.
Sara E. Balch, PT, DPT, MBA
Sara is passionate about training families and patients to succeed and be creative in reaching their physical therapy goals. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in pediatric physical therapy (PCS) and Neonatal Touch and Massage Therapist Certified (NTMTC). Sara graduated from Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences in Rochester, MN, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2017. She has experience in developmental care and in treatment of neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions for pediatrics and women of all ages. She returned to Shreveport from Houston, TX, where she had the opportunity to work in a level-IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at a large trauma-hospital. Sara is an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Certified Clinical Instructor. She enjoys mentoring students during physical therapy clinical rotations and residencies; she has served as a volunteer mentor to bioengineering students from Louisiana Tech University. She was a literature appraiser for the APTA for studies related to cerebral palsy. Sara has lectured on pediatric orthotics/lower extremity bracing and neonatal development at Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Sciences Center and teaches adjunct kinesiology courses at Centenary College. Sara is eager to work with pediatric patients and families from birth to adulthood.
